Great nugget here:

This was tweeted I believe in the third quarter, and Brown went on to finish with 10 receptions for 155 yards. That’s a brilliant debut for the Birds’ new WR1, who looked like Howie Roseman’s best addition of the offseason on Sunday afternoon.

He did a little bit of everything, too, getting started with a designed target on a tunnel screen that went for a decent gain. Jalen Hurts hit him for a first down on the next play, and before halftime, this was his best catch of the afternoon:

3rd and 4 right before halftime. That was a huge play that set up a field goal and put the Birds up double digits going into halftime.

It sure looks like Brown has the tools the Birds needed in a WR1. He’s big enough to go up and make contested catches ala Alshon Jeffery, but he’s not a lumbering target guy. He moves well and will build up YAC yards as well. He ran some 10 yard routes, some short stuff, and the bomb you saw in the clip there, leaving him with a debut chart that looks like this, courtesy of NFL NextGen Stats:

Wonderful debut. Welcome aboard, A.J. Brown.
