Saw this from Reddit user u/mastermind208:

Hopefully Springer is expensing those gas receipts. He’s done so much traveling back and forth that if this was a straight line over all terrain and not a round trip, he’d be somewhere in Central Asia right now. Maybe Tajikistan. He’d have enough frequent flyer miles for a weekend excursion to Punta Cana.

Springer has only played five games for the Sixers, averaging three minutes and 1.4 points. The A team numbers have been largely negligible. For the Coats, however, he’s played four games at 28.8 minutes per, averaging 14.3 points on 44% shooting. The first round draft pick from 2021 is adding 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.8 steals.

I am currently trying to determine whether or not Springer will set the record for most transactions between Delaware and Philadelphia. The record, I think, belongs to Jonah Bolden, which was chronicled by Derek Bodner in the “Bolden back” Twitter thread of 2018:

Unfortunately, I’m not sure there’s any data on this, but maybe one of the PR folks could give us a really good guess. I am hoping and praying that Springer sets the single-season record for most Sixers/Blue Coats transactions, because it’s a record that may hold for a very long time. Right up there with Wilt Chamberlain and his 24,000 rebounds.

Top 5 landmarks that Springer sees going back and forth being Wilmington and Philly:

  1. Commodore Barry Bridge
  2. the 476 exit ramp
  3. Pennsylvania welcome center
  4. Philadelphia International Airport
  5. John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge

It’s a scenic route. Right up there with the most beautiful drives in America.
