Super Bowl news:

Hardman had two catches for 10 yards in the AFC title game. That was the first game he played since November, when he went on IR with an abdominal injury. Tough season for him after putting up almost 700 receiving yards and two scores last year.

His final stat line from 2022:

25 receptions, 34 targets, 297 yards, four touchdowns, 11.9 yards per catch, four carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns

Hardman wasn’t KC’s most dangerous weapon, but had two games this year with 70+ yards and scored in three straight weeks before going on IR. Their receiving corps is pretty banged up, with Kadarius Toney dealing with an ankle sprain and JuJu Smith-Schuster experiencing knee swelling. In two postseason games, they’re led by Travis Kelce’s 176 yards and three touchdowns, then it’s Marquez Valdes-Scantling with 122 and two scores. Toney, Smith-Schuster, and Hardman combined for 11 catches for 91 yards and zero scores against Jacksonville and Cincinnati.

As for Clyde Edwards-Helaire, he only played 10 games this season and ran for about 300 yards and three touchdowns. He went on IR on November 20th with a high ankle sprain and hasn’t played since. He lost his job earlier in the year to rookie Isiah Pacheco.
