Here's something to brighten your day.

While Cliff Lee could be public enemy number one next week, he will more than likely be pitching against the Giants in the World Series and have this entire city rooting for him.

Well guess what?  And this one is full-fledged rumor, folks.  Lee may still want to try to come back to Philly next year.

ESPN's Jason Churchill reports that Lee may prefer Philadelphia over New York or Texas in free-agency.  And he speculates that it would take less money for the Phillies to sign him to a long-term contract.

Look, I know this sounds crazy.  Even with a discount the Phillies would have to free up a ton of money to bring someone like Lee here.  But hey, it's either this, or talk more about being down 3-1 in the NLCS to the Giants.

Just something to keep in the back of your head as you're watching him pitch in Game 7 or the World Series.
