Claude_giroux_winnerThis is our second annual "Top Ten Philly Sports Moments of the year."  You can find last year's list here.  We will roll out a new moment each day (one over the weekend) from now until New Year's Eve.

Giroux believe in miracles?!  Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

The Flyers were 0 for their last seven Stanley Cup Finals games, having not won one since 1987. After falling behind two games to none in the series against the Blackhawks, they couldn't afford to lose a third straight.  Two three-game deficits in one postseason would surely be too much to rebound from.

Shortly after the Blackhawks took a one goal lead early in the third period, Ville Leino tied the game, 3-3, by burying a rebound into the back of the net.  The score would remain that way until overtime.

Enter Claude Giroux… after the jump.  Two videos, complete with Lavs fist pump.

Rest of the Top Ten here.  As always, leave your memories of those moments in the comments.
