This really isn't news. We told you two weeks ago that the Eagles were going to franchise Vick. This just makes it all official. So there you have it.
Vick will make around $20 million this year, the average salary of the top five quarterbacks in the league.
The team also applied the "transition tag" to David Akers. That means they have the first right of refusal to match any offer made by other teams.
