Announcing Our Phillies Tailgate on April 2nd
We’ve teased it more than a bashful high school coed at a formal, but here’s the official announcement: On April 2nd, along with our friends from Philly Phaithful – makers of such fine t-shirts as Schmidt Happens – we’ll be hosting a tailgate for the Phillies – Astros game at 7:05. Cliff Lee is scheduled to make his first appearance that night. In addition, we anticipate some other local bloggers and media types (like our friends from PSD and The School Philly) to be joining us.
When: 3-7 P.M., Saturday, April 2nd
Where: F Lot in the Wells Fargo Center parking lot- just off 11th street, across from the Linc
Food and drink: There will be food and beverage, most likely from a local sports bar. We should have more info on that soon. We will probably be offering a $10 “add-on” option, where you can buy a voucher online that will cover all you can eat and drink from 3-7 P.M. Of course, you are still welcome to BYOB.
Make it a day: Earlier that day, at 12:30, there will be “The Biggest Dodgeball Game Ever” being played on the floor of the Wells Fargo Center. Signup to play here. All proceeds go to charity. You will also receive a voucher for a free ticket to a Wings game.
It’s quite simple: Play dodgeball, come tailgate, go to the Phillies game, see Cliff Lee.
Tickets: The game is SOLD OUT. If you don’t already have tickets, there are over 2,500 tickets available at Crossing Broad Tickets. These are pretty much all of the remaining tickets available on the secondary market.
To make it easy for you, our friends from Tiq IQ have created a special section just for CB tailgaters, called the “Four Aces” zone. Seats are from sections 301-305 in right field and represent the cheapest available tickets for the game.
Tickets start at $58, and there are a whole bunch available for under $75. We couldn’t block off a large group of tickets, but this is the next best thing. We’re encouraging everyone to pick up tickets in the “Four Aces” zone and join us in unhealthy man-love of Cliff Lee.
Here’s what you need to do:
1) Signup here to let us know that you’re coming. Signing up will give us a good estimate on much food and drink to have, and allow us to keep you up-to-date on any last minute changes. Basically, if you don’t sign up, you can’t bitch if we run out of food and drink.
Signing up we’ll also give you access to $15 Philly Phaithful t-shirts at the event (usually around $25).
That’s it. See you there.
