Video: Oswalt Hit in Head With Line Drive, Leaves Game

Not good.

Roy Oswalt was just hit in the head with a line drive off the bat of Manny Ramirez. He was able to get up and walk off the field on his own.

According to the beat reporters, the ball hit him just behind right ear. He is being taken to a local hospital for X-rays. The official diagnosis from the Phillies is "bruised neck."

UPDATE: X-rays were negative and Brian Schneider will be driving Oswalt back to Clearwater.

Watch it.

  1. My dad texted me that and I almost pissed myself. Fuck it, let’s forfeit all the spring training games and just make it to the season.

  2. Mikey Miss reported that he was hit behind the ear and is diagnosed with a bruised neck. Xrays to follow.

  3. bri guy, this was the first place being linked to that had a video.
otherwise, i do come here sometimes to see how jeff carter’s v-necks and cardigans somehow tie into him not being good enough.

  4. @d…if this isn’t a worthy enough blog for you move on. There are plenty of readers that enjoy this site.

  5. Looks like he’s gonna be fine. If anything, he looks pissed as hell that Dubee and Charlie pulled him from the game. If you pause the video near the very end when he looks back at Dubee, that expression tells the whole story.
…Not the still frame that is legitimately terrifying. Lmao

Yup. O’Roy can just say it was a Manny-style hickey. I get the feeling he really didn’t get too fazed and was just lying down to enjoy the nice sunny 80 degree afternoon. What’s the weather like up there right now, Laddie?
