Morning Wood: Walk It Off Edition
Short Wood today, lots to get to.
What a day. The Phillies won both games of their doubleheader with the Marlins, 8-1 and 5-4, respectively.
In case you haven't noticed, Dom Brown worked a high leg kick into his swing. Brown told David Murphy that "Now [he] really looks like Darryl Strawberry."
Since making the change – last month during the 19-inning game – Brown has batted .293 with four home runs. He also does face-plants now, too:
Here's video of Chooch – courtesy of the Delco Times - speaking with reporters after the game. Very disappointed in his interview with Sarge- no pie and too much good English. I was anxiously waiting for a shaving cream covered incoherent proclamation about fastballs, Doc, and being so happy. It didn't happen. You do, however, just want to pinch his cheeks sometimes:
Billy Lyon, legend, writes about Lenny Dykstra's ridiculous existence.
John Kruk will be inducted onto the Phillies' Wall of Fame.
Wilson Valdez is a shitty tipper. He tipped .50 on two drinks… which he paid for with $100 bill.
Here's a photo, via our friend David Gryzbowski, of a hefty chick with an Oswalt jersey and 15-inch nails…
Video of Ruiz's walk-off, in case, ya know, you missed it.
