Tony Dungy looks like he's going all Emperor Palpatine in this photo. Dance, puppet. Dance.
Annnnd bomb defused:
His [Vick] decision on where to play to put himself in the best position to succeed was entirely his own. Commissioner Goodell obviously met and spoke to Michael and his reps as part of his decision on whether to reinstate him and on what terms. But the commissioner would never steer players to or away from particular teams and did not do so in this case.
That's NFL PR man Greg Aiello on Twitter responding to Michael Vick's insinuation that Roger Goodell steered him toward Philly. I'm not entirely sure I believe that, but I think we can put this story to bed now. Michael Vick's an Eagle. He's happy here, not choking dogs, and has a high QB rating. Moving on…
UPDATE: Oh fuck- statements! Vick via Adam Shefter:
"Commissioner never told me to sign or not sign with particular teams. I want to make it clear this was a decision I made."
Yeah, someone wrote that for him.
Vick is kind of like the Bleacher Report of NFL players. You just assume everything he says will later be recanted in a forced, PRitiy (word?) statement. Now if they can just add slideshows to the Michael Vick Experience…

I might be the only person left in America who sees the difference between humans and animals.
yeah, humans supposedly have a moral code and ability to learn right from wrong therefore no excuse for thier actions and animals are basically defenseless against humans. I find myself cheering for the sharks at the beach nowadays because of POS’s like Michael Vick. Hopefully he keeps talking his way outta town, stories like his always have a bad ending.
I would have accepted “PR-ish”
i’m going on little sleep. that works too
Carrying on conversations with people who use the defenseless animal card, but then go out and enjoy a burger is pretty stupid (whether you do or not is irrelevant). Animal rights are invention of the humans, who coincidentally invented human rights. Irrespective of opinion, whether it’s right or wrong, you must realize that the separation between the two should make driving over a person, killing them, while intoxicated (a la Stallworth) slightly more punishable than harming an animal. Inasmuch, your opinion is infinitely less than mine 🙂
dude fyi all those hits you got from ecuador were c/o me… first hits from ecuador? I assume you peep your google analytics.
@S.I. agrred, inasmuch as electrocuting a dog or body slamming it onto concerete can be comparable to eating a burger.
Fuck I hate Bleacher Report and their slideshows. Spot on, Kyle. Spot on.
@Scott, couldn’t have said it better myself.
Michael Vick is trash and has been his entire life. And anyone who excuses his behavior toward animals is trash too. Animal rights are the invention of humans? So was slavery. Do you want that back by popular demand?
