It’s been difficult getting this up over the last days… what with the Eagles, Winter Classic, and Flyers and Rangers hating each other. Our Roundup and Wood schedule may also shift a bit with the playoffs coming up. You know, just in case you cared.

Cliff Lee and the Phillies dripped excellence all over the desperate Atlanta Braves last night. After not winning for a week (yes, a week), the Phillies have scored 13 runs in their last two games, giving them their first 100-win season since 1977.

Hunter Pence got all zen on us. This Tweet may have given Jayson Stark a boner:

Cliff Lee is completely unfazed by 100 wins. Highlights of his outing here. Video via David Hale of the Wilmington News Journal:

Lee admitted to keeping a close eye on the Wild Card races. The Braves are currently one game ahead of the charging Cardinals. And judging by the way the Cardinals handled the hungover Phillies last week, it’s safe to assume that most of us would prefer to see the Braves win the Wild Card and be a potential NLCS opponent for the Phillies.

Last night, the best of both worlds happened: The Phillies played well and the Cardinals lost. Perfect.

Interesting stat from today’s Inquirer: Roy Halladay will be the sixth pitcher in Major League history to finish seven games over .500 for seven or more straight seasons. The other five are all in the Hall of Fame.

Let’s hit it.

A couple of quick notes:

– Cliff Lee dampened the mound with 100-win excellence last night. Get your Crossing Broad-branded “Pissing Excellence” t-shirt from Philly Phaithful. Order today and receive it in time for the playoffs. Use code cb10 to receive a 10% discount. Get it right here.

– Be sure to stop by Drinker’s Philadelphia locations for Phillies playoff baseball. There will be $1 hot dogs during all games. Also, be sure to check out their new Union Transfer, the brand spankin’ new mid-sized concert venue located at 1026 Spring Garden. Lots of popular indie bands are scheduled this fall.

The Roundup:

– Cup holders are installed in the second level of The Well… and they’re glorious:

Also, Sam Adams Octoberfest is available at the beer stand up top. My cup holder had the distinct pleasure of cradling amber excellence.

– This 8-year-old kid did a better job of covering the Giants than Casey Matthews did on Sunday. He threw beer at their bus.

– As first reported by our very own Ryan Gillon, Ozzie Guillen is being traded to the Marlins (sort of). Yep, he’s a manager.

– John Miller thinks Juan Castillo is in over his head

– The Phillies sent out an email to season ticket holders last night indicating that there will be “extremely limited availability” for Winter Classic tickets. Still, leaving the door open for availability is interesting: [thanks to reader Martin for passing along]

Information on the potential of a ticket opportunity drawing for current Phillies season ticket holders would be sent out at a later date. The number of tickets available for a potential ticket opportunity is yet to be determined, but will be extremely limited. As a reminder, the Winter Classic is a NHL event.

In addition to the Winter Classic game on January 2, Citizens Bank Park will also play host to two other hockey games:

Flyers vs. Rangers Alumni Game on Saturday, December 31.

Adirondack Phantoms (Flyers AHL affiliate) vs. Hershey Bears (Colorado Avalanche AHL affiliate) game on Friday, January 6.

– Erin Andrews. Legs.

– Father drops kid to catch a fly ball.

– Readers doing cool things:

K-Woww (birth name?) is selling Phillies headbands. If you want one, you can email her at [email protected]

– Finally, I was on WIP with Big Daddy Graham last night. You can listen to it after the jump. Bonus video of Ryan Howard on Good Morning America today, too.
