NBA Stars to Play Street Ball at Palestra

The Hoops Report first broke the story over the weekend about the game that will take place on September 25th at the Palestra between Philly Stars and a team led by Carmelo Anthony. “The Chosen League” will be in charge of the event, which will include the following players on Hakim Warrick’s Philly team: Warrick, Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris, Kyle Lowry, John Salmons, Wayne Ellington, Jason Thompson, Flip Murrary, Aaron Owens and Sixer Lou Williams.

Melo’s team will include: Josh Selby, Donte Greene, Gary Neal and Eric Bledsoe.

I’m sure there will be some real strong team defense played. Plus side: Kyle Lowry is one of the most fun players to watch in the league.

Tickets go on sale next Tuesday, according to “The Chosen League.” You probably won’t have to lineup at 10 AM. Just a hunch.

  1. Kyle Lowry is one of the most fun players to watch in the league? There is no way you typed that without laughing at yourself. Most people don’t even know he is still in league, yes we know you went to Nova now stop making yourself look even more stupid.

  2. Kyle Lowry 2011 stats: 34 mpg, 13 pts, 6 assists, 4 boards and one of best perimeter defenders. i stand by that 100%. watch him play and tell me otherwise.

  3. Gotta defend Kyle here…Lowry is one of those breathtaking athletes that is just extremely entertaining to watch, especially live. Stats don’t describe the energy and life he brings to a game. He will never be an all-star player but he reminds of someone like JJ Barea who is still a very valuable guy.

  4. according to Kate Fagan from the Inquirer (@deepsixer3), Lebron CP3 and Durant are playing too… so yeah, you may have to line up at 10am. gonna be epic
