And who said sports leagues don’t embrace gambling?

According to this ESPN article, the NFL is directing teams to display real-time fantasy information on scoreboards:

Starting with Thursday's New Orleans SaintsGreen Bay Packers season opener at Lambeau Field, all NFL teams have been directed to show real-time fantasy football statistics on their scoreboards, league spokesman Brian McCarthy said, USA Today reported.

Previously, it was at the discretion of the league's 32 teams whether to display out-of-town individual statistics on stadium video boards.

Brilliant idea. For real, brilliant.

Why have fans look at their phones on crowded cell towers when you can have them look at your – advertising-laden – video boards, which will show full-on fantasy football stats? Love it.

Next we’re going to see Scott Hanson’s giant head plastered on the jumbotron taking you LIVE to the game you’re already at but weren’t watching because you were checking to see how your last-minute waiver pickup is doing against the Chiefs. Progress!

Speaking of progress… what happened to those windmills that were supposed to be installed at Lincoln Financial Field? They're in Madden, but – checks stadium – nope not there. Or are we just calling them Nnamdi?
