That's It... and Ryan Howard Believes He Has a Torn Achilles Tendon

There couldn't have been a more horrific way to end the season. Ryan Howard told reporters that doctors believe he has a torn left achilles tendon.

"I was trying to run and I just felt this pop. The whole thing went numb, like it was on fire.

That's what they think it is [achilles]. I'm probably going to have to have surgery."

He will have an MRI tomorrow to confirm. That is not a minor surgery, folks.

You can expect a good 2,000 or so words on this mess at some point over the next few days, but I'm going to take most of the weekend off. We'll still have some Eagles and Flyers coverage, however. It's been a fun season, thanks to everyone for checking in with us every day.
