Flyers Wives Fashion Show Hosted by Chris and Lauren Pronger… Sans Chris, Who’s Still Bothered by Concussion

Last night the Flyers wives did that whole sexy thing in the name of charity. Chris and Lauren Pronger hosted the inaugural Flyers wives fashion show, which benefits Comcast-Spectacor Charities.

Unfortunately, Chris was having another “bad day” yesterday and wasn’t able to make it. Here’s what Lauren, his wife, told CSN:

It’s a tough go at home, we’re going day to day right now. Good days, bad days. It’s been a lot of trauma, just praying right now. He’s battling, he wants to be out there more than anybody. It’s tough for all of us to watch him go through this, too. I think any player that has been concussed several times, they will have the commonality of saying whatever a good day and a bad day is – fortunately I can’t say what that feels like – but for those guys, they say “today was a good day” or “today was a bad day,” and I see that in Chris. I can tell, and you know what? It was not a good day today. Unfortunately, he’s not here tonight. It breaks his heart and it breaks my heart.

Our friend HughE Dillon of Philly Chit Chat has some more photos, but none will be better than a bow-tied Max Talbot on a bike: [via the Flyers]

Video of Lauren Pronger talking about Chris is after the jump– includes a #wheresscotthartnell sighting and Jags and Homer sitting beside a fashion runway, which is unintentionally hilarious.

  1. i think bob’s wife stole the show.
that and when mrs. homer came out and stopped to make a scene in front of paul to the amusement of the entire team.

  2. obviously pronger’s not giving it to her because he can’t without getting dizzy. @Jay Grace, you should definitely hit that. I’ll tag team her with you.

  3. “I would show you more pictures, but whomever was running PR for the event must have thought the city’s most read sports blog (or any blog, for that matter) wouldn’t be interested in dedicating tons of space to the Flyers and their wives strutting down a runway.”
When all that blog knows how to do is start controversy and show C level writing skills on hockey…I dont blame them for not sharing…

  4. Flyers wives hired Sean Avery as a fashionista to pick out purses now that he has nothing else to do with the nhl.

  5. @chirp i agree, completely.
This kid is full of himself, when all he is (ever was) – is a blogger. Get a real journalist position and maintain this site on the side if you want the respect from the organizations.
    …actually, stick to twitter.

  6. Sounds good Mellonhead. we’ll pregame with a 30 pack and then go bare-back on Mrs. Pronger.
    Saunders style!

  7. And yet, you guys are here, day after day, soaking it all up.
Do you have any idea how idiotic you both sound, coming here, driving traffic and ad revenue, just to bitch about how shitty the blog is? KYS

  8. I am so tired of people coming on here to bash this blog. I for one would have loved to see more pictures from this event. If you don’t like the blog, don’t read it. No one is forcing you to come to this site.

  9. That has to be tough for Prong’s kids. You can feel the pain in her voice and can only hope that he can have a good quality of life. Its very sad.

  10. Actually I like the Blog…i come here daily and have no issues with it outside of hockey talk…
Hockey is for die hard fans and that’s what most flyers fans are. I hate when a casual fan tries to talk hockey and clearly doesn’t know it…especially when they have as much power as Kyle does to reach so many people…

  11. Thanks for your marvelous posting! I genuinely enjoyed reading it, you might be a great author.
I will make sure to bookmark your blog and will eventually come back in the foreseeable future.
I want to encourage you to ultimately continue your great posts, have a nice afternoon!
