Well… this is exciting. We think…?
According to Sixers PR man Mike Preston, Evan Turner just set a Guinness World Record for most shots made in a minute from behind the backboard, 14, at NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in Orlando.
Congrats, ET.
Thus fulfills your daily quotiant for random things. Video of Turner setting the record, via the NBA, is after the jump.
UPDATE: What a waste of energy this post was. Not an hour later, Ricky Rubio broke the record, with 18 shots in less than a minute. You'd think that they'd hold off on awarding winners until all contestants are done shooting, no? This whole thing is dumb.

now if he could just do it from in front of the backboard
If you think “Most shots from behind the backboard in 1 minute” is the most useless thing ever…you’ve clearly never read the Guinness Book of World Records. I bet I could flip to any page and then close my eyes and put my finger down randomly and it would hit something dumber, like “Most strands of dry spaghetti layed end-to-end in a line”.
Hi My Name Is….
maybe sixers will move the bench to the baseline, so he could actually contribute…
whatever, as long as i don’t have to hear him talk, he sounds like a james bond villian with a brain injury.
