The Flyers Announced That Their Parent Company Announced That They Will Feature The Team on Their “Game of the Week”

This is all a tad incestuous, but we're not complaining. Anyway, Flyers-Penguins– Game of the Week. From the release:

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, March 18 has been selected as NBC’s Game of the Week.  Accordingly, the start time of this game has been moved to 12:30 PM.  The game had previously been scheduled for a 3pm start time.

For those who don't get the joke: Comcast owns NBC and is the parent company of Comcast Spectacor, which owns the Flyers.

  1. To be a pedant, Comcast owns 51% of NBCU. GE owns the rest. Comcast does manage the company.

  2. I’m going to use my Comcast-owned Xfinity video service to watch the the Comcast-owned NBC broadcast of the Comcast-owned Philadelphia Flyers play at the Comcast-owned Wells Fargo Center. Maybe I’ll use my Comcast-owned Xfinity voice service to call my friends oveeto watch the game. Afterwards, I will watch a recap on the Comcast-owned NBC Sports Network while I check statistics using my Comcast-owned Xfinity internet service.
