According to reports from FOX Philly and 6 ABC, a Nets player was questioned by police this morning about an alleged sexual assault that happened at the Four Seasons Hotel last night. FOX reports that a woman was taken to the hospital at around 4 a.m. [The Nets are in town to play the Sixers tonight.]

Neither report gives the player’s name, but we’ve learned that it is Andray Blatche, who was with three friends at the time of the alleged incident. The friends are not believed to be Nets.

Blatche hasn’t been charged with any crime and was released this morning pending further investigation, according to reports.

In 2007, Blatche was charged with sex solicitation.

UPDATE: ABC and NBC Philadelphia provide more details.

ABC

Sources say there was an 'alcohol-fueled party' inside a room and the victim, a woman in her 20s, was at that party.

She was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

NBC:

Police say a Brooklyn Nets player was in the hotel suite at the time of the alleged incident but was not in the bedroom where it may have occurred. The Nets are scheduled to play the 76ers tonight at 7 p.m.

Police haven’t released Blatche’s name, but that didn’t stop the Nets forward from tweeting about:

And somewhere Jay-Z breathes a sigh of relief.

UPDATE 2: Police confirm it was Blatche.
