Video: Jon Stewart Shreds CNN’s Bombing Coverage

Screen Shot 2013-04-23 at 10.32.14 AMAt one point during the critical stages of the manhunt on Friday, CNN began citing Zero Dark Thirty.

And that may have been their finest moment during their coverage of the Boston bombing last week (still, they had some of their best ratings in a decade), which Jon Stewart took aim at, hilariously, last night.

Video after the jump.

  1. The Russians come to Wash DC in 2010 and tell the FBI to watch the oldest brother.
what good is information if it’s not checked out.
OR was it the FBI that kept tabs on him and visited him like the Mother said ?

a riddle wrapped in a enigma.

just like no mention of Bin Laden in “Charlie Wilsons War”

  2. there were so many awkward moments during the around-the-clock coverage of this event. because of the overzealous coverage of it, there was a lot downtime and with that downtime came a lot of dumb statements. my favorite is definitely the reporter at the 5:30 mark of the vid. i just shook my head in sheer amazement.

  3. C’mon Jon… You must know the difference between a metaphor and a simile. Or maybe it was your writers that didn’t.

  4. His name is “Jon Liebowitz”. It’s ok Jonny, no need to be ashamed of your heritage. Unless you thought that a jewish person couldn’t make it in Hollywood??

  5. CNN was really bad. In addition to other news outlets who made such bold predictions that it was the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, a disgruntled taxpayer,, etc. Another reported said we should all hope it was a white male. Not sure why anyone was hoping for that. The last thing anyone expected was Chechnia, but there you go. Mainstream media should not be trusted in any way as they have tried to become so open minded their brains have fallen out.

    1. The left wingnuts in the media are so desperate to reconcile for their ancestors racism that they actually wish for these things to be done by white males. It’s sad quite frankly.

  6. Coverage? You mean showing the two explosions on a continuous loop? In 10 minutes I saw the same two explosions 10 times. Disgraceful.

  7. The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested
to see if it can survive a thirty foot drop, just so she can be a
youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she
has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
