Ben Revere Will Have Surgery on His Broken Ankle

Expected:

His timetable held true, as the Phillies announced Monday morning he will have surgery on the ankle Tuesday at the Rothman Institute. They estimated his recovery to be six to eight weeks, which means he could be back anywhere between late August and mid-September.

Revere fouled a pitch off the ankle in the 11th inning of Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader against the White Sox.

Needs to get some of that good cheesecake to aid his recovery.

  1. Sounds like rubes ready to kick the tires of some old fat men and make the “push”….

  2. I see there’s no mention of the fact that the 11th inning never should have been necessary, had this team not been f-ing inept with RISP. Second and third, no outs, in the bottom of the 9th, and THEY CAN’T SCORE!!! First and third, one out, bottom 10, CAN’T SCORE. The Sox got a 2-out triple in the 11th and ended up with 2 runs!

  3. Wow that was unusual. I just wrote an incredibly long comment
but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over
again. Anyhow, just wanted to say superb blog!
