From The Wrap:

Ben Affleck is set to play Batman opposite Henry Cavill in the untitled “Man of Steel” sequel that will be directed by Zack Snyder, Warner Bros. announced Thursday.

Oh come on, really? Look, I like Ben Affleck as much as the next guy, but he’s going to rival Clooney as worst Batman ever. Way too pretty for that role. Michael Keaton has a dark side. Christian Bale is fucking nuts. But Affleck? Can’t wait for Batman to develop a Boston accent and nonchalant attitude toward crime fighting all while giving long, confused and emotionless stares to no one in particular off to his left and do that weird underbite thing before a climactic finish at Fenway Park.

Somewhere Joseph Gordon-Levitt is saying, “What?!?”

Have you seen Hollywoodland Kyle? He was quite good in that. I actually think he’s a pretty good actor.

To be fair everyone thought heath ledger as the Joker was gonna be awful.

And while we’re at it, folks weren’t all that sold on Michael Keaton either. Still, Affleck can’t possibly be any worse than Clooney or Val Kilmer.

Doesn’t “Man of Steel” in the mentioned “Wrap” article refer to Superman?

How do you like them Grapples?

Christian Bale and Heath Ledger became those characters. Fucking Warner Bros would fucking hire Adam West to save $$$$$

  • JD August 24, 2013 at 8:25 am

So you’re upset they hired a good actor for the role? God damn, the Internet is a fickle bitch. Also- the batman in this movie is going to be “old and wise”. It’s not young, playboy batman. He’s probably not going to even look like typical Affleck in this movie.
