LeBron James is Producing a Sitcom Set in North Philly

Screen Shot 2013-09-03 at 1.42.53 PMLeBron James is co-producing Tyler’s Perry’s newest venture a Starzzzzz show about two guys who from the hood who made it:

Now James plans to explore that theme as part of “Survivor’s Remorse,” a new show he’s developing with Starz. While he won’t star in the half-hour sitcom, he’ll be one of the executive producers of the show, which will explore the lives of two men from the streets who attain fame — one is an NBA star and one is not — and how they deal with friends and families in the wake of that success.

James is developing the show with his longtime friend and business partner, Maverick Carter; Tom Werner, the producer behind classic shows like “Roseanne” and “The Cosby Show”; and actor Mike O’Malley, who will be an executive producer and is the show’s writer. Paul Wachter will also be an executive producer.

The show is based in North Philadelphia instead of Akron, Ohio, where the two are from: “More people can relate to it,” explained Carter of Philadelphia.

An Eagles spokesperson tells CB exclusively that Riley Cooper is looking forward to this show.

  1. This show is going to be horrible, just like every sitcom, movie, commerical that Tyler Perry has made. But with this being said, I CAN’T WAIT until we nuke Syria. I AM PSYCHED!

haha and I chuckled at the Riley Cooper burn. How about that roast of Franco last night. Sandberg and Hader were incredible, definitely the best roast.

    1. LeBron makes me very HARD. I rub myself thinking about his muscles. I imagine him just throwing me down like the gay whore I am all the while screaming with my lisp take me nigger, take me LeBron!!!! OOOGHA. Sadly, I awaken and it was just a dream and I am still an aging queen with a shitty talk show with Road House and Patrick Swayze being discussed daily. I seem to have OCD and I also stutter on every sentence!
