Celebrate the Best Philly Sports Team of the Year with This Commemorative DVD

I’m trying to reconcile the cognitive dissonance of that headline and the fact that we’re talking about La Salle basketball. But ’tis true– your greatest Philly sports moment of the year, thus far, and most likely come December 31, is The Southwest Philly Floater.

The folks over at La Salle have put together a commemorative DVD, just in time for the holidays!

La Salle Athletics is excited to announce the release of a commemorative DVD highlighting the 2012-13 men’s basketball season. SWEET! runs approximately 70 minutes and chronicles the season from its opening tip-off to the final buzzer.

The DVD contains never-before seen interviews with head coach Dr. John Giannini and several players as well as video highlights from every game and exclusive, behind-the-scenes content. It is narrated by men’s basketball PA announcer Kevin Casey and was produced by Molly Gallagher.

Gotta say– I grew some respect for the La Salle folks last spring. They were genuinely excited to be in the Tournament and didn’t rub it in to fans of other schools (like you St. Joe’s folks may have done…). And the sentiment was mutual among alumni of the other Big 5 schools and Drexel. Had to root for La Salle, Tyrone Garland and his Cousin Bern.

The DVD is $20. The money goes to the school. Probably better than the Phillies’ Home Companion this year. Go buy one.

Yeah because those people need any more money.

Most misplaced anger post of the year.

      • Catch a damned pass October 23, 2013 at 11:41 am

        Not anger, just sayin’.

BTW, I located a Shittsburgh fag that goes to Temple, but this kid is so retarded and awkward, that there’s no way it is the person that posts here. I still want to beat him in the face, but it might be a hate crime.

        That’s anger, kind of.

They do need money! have you seen their gym?

Haha. I Nova guy taking a shot at someone else for being arrogant. Nova is one of the most arrogant places on the planet. YOU ARE NOT DUKE. Relax.

Then you take a shot at St. Joe’s with a bball program in ashes. Nice. Nova acts like they have a million championships. You may be big conference, but you are still small time in the overall scheme of college basketball. You are St. John’s before the inevitable fall.

Awwwwwwwe. Did ya get that all off your chest, princess? Good girl. Now go back to that low rent, third-tier of a college you root for and let the adults talk. Mmmmmkay?

      • Cartman October 23, 2013 at 11:13 am

Way to prove their arrogance point exactly.

Note: no allegiance to any of the Philly colleges.

    Go Rutgers!

P.s. Kyle, why no Monday morning roundup? Even though our teams suck we still like to hear about them and just how bad they suck.

        Now this made me laugh.

    • winlasalle October 23, 2013 at 12:40 pm

How is this relevant? Yes I do think there is some coverage of La Salle beating Penn State on this video, but it might have been cropped out due to time constraints

I banged girls from both Temple and LaSalle and LaSalle takes the cake for sure. Temple had a good run though. I also hear St. Joes has good talent. I’d really like to get a taste of them all to give a more educated opinion. Not sure how the Nova girls are… Kyle?
