There were some reports this afternoon that, due to the Bucs having MRSA – an infection transmitted by skin-to-skin contact and by looking at pictures of Evgeni Malkin – the Eagles game on Sunday could be postponed.

NFL.com is now reporting that most likely won’t be the case, but it’s all dependent on a report from Duke:

On Friday, the league had no plans that would affect Sunday’s scheduled game between the Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles, NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported.

“Our office, the NFLPA and appropriate medical specialists are working with the Buccaneers‘ medical staff to aggressively address the matter,” the NFL said in a statement.

Any decision by the NFL Players Association on how to advise the Bucs to move forward will be based on the DICON report, a union source told Breer.

Mayyyyyy be best for the Eagles to wear long-sleeved moisture-wicking, staff staph infection-repelling gear under their uniforms this weekend. Or, if you’re Nate Allen– just play naked!
