They should have announced this by posting a photo on Instagram of Lavy’s office totally empty just to piss off Flyers beat writers.

Laviolette was a terrible coach. Backed his way into the Finals with a seventh seeded team in 2010 and has been living off of that since. That 2010 team sucked too just got all the breaks in the playoffs.

That being said. Holmgren should be following Lavy out the door. This team is pitiful.

What a waste of a golden opportunity.

Maybe we can get a nice plot twist in the presser and Ed will just turn and fire Homer.

Yeah, Kyle likes to ban people who dare to comment about his shitty writing. It seems to be based on IP address, when you try to comment from a banned IP it will say the comment needs to be moderated and then it just never shows up on the site. He’s lying through his teeth when he says he doesn’t do it.

After seeing the odds, Holmgren probably placed a bet in Vegas and then fired Lavy. Homer needs to put a little change in his pocket before he gets fired himself for putting this dreck on the ice. How is it that the GM’s in this town have no accountability?

Take this how you want it… My friend’s parents own the moving company that works with the Flyers… Just told him that Lavi walked in this morning while the boxes and shit were already in his office…Said he was bewildered & had no idea …. fucking awful

K, so let see here: Homer basically wasted the gained cap space by signing Streit who we did not need with his style of play and is also old (4 year deal?). Signed Vinny (who I like) to a 5 year no trade clause deal. Just does not really make sense to me. Traded away our core players, Richards (would have kept) and Carter (liked the trade) for players who seemed to have not really fit lavys system, correct? Never fixed the defense but just overloaded on average Dman who on a nightly basis forget how to play D. Lavy was a cup winning coach who took us to one in his first year. Why not build around that current core instead of blowing it up? Paul Holmgren smh

I said this last spring when they bought out Briere that it should have been Hartnell. They would only be stuck with Briere’s inflated deal for one year. Now they have Hartnell and his inflated deal for five more years. I enjoy the whole #Hartnell Down thing, but he isn’t a stud hockey player. Now we can only hope we get a competent GM (apparently Hextall is one according to how much input he had in LA) and build a team much like the Pens (I threw up in my mouth a bit) through the draft and developing quality players. By the way, Hextall was a quality scout for us before he headed to LA. Maybe he really has an eye for talent.

Until our Pussy captain proves that he is a so called “world class” player….this team goes nowhere. Shitty Defense, average goaltending and no goal scorers, and a HORRENDOUS GM. this organization is a joke

Stop whinning about Richards and Carter. Screw both of them. Neither of them are “stars” and needed to go. Could you imagine 10 more seasons of Richards’ moping or Carter’s one dimensional play.

There are plenty of things to fire Holmgren for. Namely, he hasn’t done squat to improve the team since signing Jagr.

Holmgren must go, but trading the two love birds away was probably his last great move.

My favorite line: [Ed Snider] “We know what we’re doing.”

Yeah, wouldn’t want to go outside of the organization or anything, especially considering all of those Stanley Cups this team has won over the last 35+ years. Oh, wait . . . .

I don’t care who the coach is and or was. When you have a GM that runs the franchise like it is a game of monopoly or poor placed fantasy league, your going to lose. Your players have shown their is no HEART or wiliness to win. Other then Rinaldo and Vinny this team looks like a 7th seed AHL Team. There are many problems that need to be resolved , but will never change as long as Mr. Snider remains loyal to past players and friends. I love Chief, but lets face it he had one job as a player and I don’t think his hockey knowledge is going to prove to be any better then Lavy.
First things first ::::::: Stop hiring old players to run your team (exp Hexxy ) he has proved he can do the job
    Second: Fire Holmgren like YESTERDAY
Third: Stop signing old players to long term deals. I don’t care if they provide leadership or have been captains on their previous teams. The flyers are some going to be able to get AARP travel discounts for away games.
Fourth: Trade Hartnel immediately , he is a bum he can not control or shoot the puck to save his ginger life. I do not see why every is amused with #HartnelDown ????? it is a complete joke.
Fifth: Take the “C” away from Giroux. Let him focus on being a quote on quote world class player instead of being a leader. You signed experienced players who can be better leaders then someone who is worried about Golf and Grilled Cheese Sandwhich’s
And finally, invent a drinking game after every loss. Every time that prick Panotch twitches during a post game interview the players are forced to drink YAK piss.
