“Philadelphia-ish” is Now a Word in Hockey Circles

Perhaps with a thinly-veiled criticism toward Tim Saunders and Chris Therien, or just the Flyers’ culture in general, Senators color guy Denis Potvin introduced a new word to Canada when talking about the late-game fight in the Sens-Blue Jackets game last night:

“Not to sound too Philadelphia-ish, but a play like that certainly need to happen at some point in time, maybe to try and get the Ottawa Senators energized and playing.”

Canada hates the Flyers.
