[It’s for owner Claire Betz, who passed away this offseason and couldn’t have had better initials.]
Kyle Scott is the founder and editor of CrossingBroad.com. He works sans pants.
Jimmy said suck my grand slam nut for hating on the patch.
ehhh that’s a fucking cheap joke bro.
These are the great posts you get from the Shaun White of Philly Sports bloggers.
I’ll tell ya what…it’s only the 3rd inning, but already it’s refreshing not to have to listen to Wheels explain every fucking baseball situation to us like it’s the first game anyone ever watched.
Now, if only TMac could quit giggling like his balls are being tickled every time Matt Stairs says something.
Really… not missing Wheels, id rather listen to him say SOMETHING than Moyer sit through awkward silience, and ask trivia questions about himself that he doesn’t even know the answer to, this broadcast is aweful
Actually, I’d rather it stand for that as opposed to standing for the initials of a 93 year old woman who had virtually nothing to do with the Phillies besides having a monetary investment in them for tax writeoff purposes.
For me, I’d rather have the initials on a uniform if you played or were a little more loved or known as an owner/front office person (like Gene Autry and the Angels).
I agree 100%, I’m tired of the Phillies having patches on their jerseys for what seems like every season for anonymous owners of the team, keep it to people important to the team like Vuk, Harry and Robin Roberts.
Especially because most of these owners didn’t give two flying fucks about the team’s success. They just wanted their money.
Yea actually her grandchildren grew up in that stadium and with her and she taught us all how to score a game and insitilled a love for Phillies in all of us. But thanks for you opinion
Cliff Lee in playoff form. Gave up a six run lead, two more than he did in the playoffs.
I bet you were big on Terry Schaivo jokes.
Terry Schiavo jokes never get old- just like Terry Schiavo!
Anybody that was offended by that joke/post needs to get a life. Was it the funniest thing in the world… no… but get over yourselves.
P.S. the Terry Schivao reference and subsequent joke was even funnier than the post, well played.
Big fan… keep up the good work.
Jokes are usually insightful, witty, clever or at least funny. This was none. First rule of telling a joke: Is it funny? Second rule: Is it funny?
Thank you for sponsoring Claire Betz…
I’ll say a little prayer for you tonight that no one in your family,no one that you care about ever gets sick the way Terri did in my family and that no one makes outrageous jokes about it.
maybe the they should were a patch to commemorate something truly Phillies related that died. Guess the team name serves that purpose
