Verizon Makes it a Bit Easier to Tweet at the Eagles Game if You Have Verizon

No matter what company provides your cell service, you’ve probably got a love/hate relationship with them (unless it’s Sprint then it’s pure unadulterated hate). But Verizon claims that their customers will experience super-fast speeds at Lincoln Financial Field for all of their tweeting and texting and instagramming needs this season. According to a press release:
Verizon Wireless recently enhanced its 4G LTE network at Lincoln Financial Field, activating XLTE. With XLTE, the “wireless highway” expands from two lanes to four lanes. XLTE is beneficial 24/7, but especially during high-traffic events, as it allows users to enjoy faster peak speeds and greater capacity than ever before. Verizon Wireless also activated XLTE at Citizens Bank Park over the summer.
XLTE doubles Verizon’s LTE bandwidth, which should be helpful in high volume areas, like packed football stadiums. So now that the coverage is taken care of, there are only three dozen more things on your phone you can complain about.
