Tank Mode will never die: Joel Embiid is on the backburner, Dario Saric is riding the pine in Turkey, Nerlens Noel is finally hitting the floor, and Michael Cater-Williams will be wearing a suit for what could be a solid chunk of this season. According to Bob Cooney at the Daily News, Coach Brett Brown says the original 2-4 month recovery time reported for MCW’s May shoulder surgery was inaccurate, and he doesn’t know “where that information came from.” MCW’s actual timeline is 6-9 months, which places his number of games missed this year between five and fifty.

Yeah Brett, we don’t know who could have possibly said 2-4 months initially either, though it does seem very Hinkie if you ask me.
