Emmanuel Acho is Going to Prom

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that Emmanuel Acho was probably pretty popular in high school. At St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas, according to the always reliable Wikipedia, Acho lettered in football, basketball, and track and field. It’s unlikely he had any trouble getting the attention of high school girls. And, as it turns out, he still doesn’t.

Acho opened up his Instagram DMs yesterday to see a request from a … uh … fan. She asked if she could take him to her prom if she got 2,000 retweets. He told her to make it 10,000, within a week, and she had a deal. It took a few hours. But it looks like Acho is at least a man of his word:

Emmanuel Acho is going to prom, but it’s probably not his first. If he’s smart, he’ll stop opening DMs though and it’ll be his last.
