Jimmy Kempski – a Liberty Broadcast podcaster – continues to fuel the fire:

Every day, with little things I hear, evidence continues to build that the Eagles are going to make a strong play for Marcus Mariota. To note, this is something I had previously thought to be unrealistic, so as bits of information have trickled in, they’ve been absorbed on my end with skepticism. But it appears the Eagles are determined to get their guy.

He went on to say that, unlike with his reporting on DeSean Jaccson, you can never be too certain what will happen, since moving up to get Mariota isn’t completely in the Eagles’ control. But, there’s a lot of smoke here. Anyone else getting hot?

    Gold Standard—Blow me Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  2. As long as the Eagles don’t play any teams that have a defense as good or better than Ohio State’s, then this is a can’t miss!!!!

    1. Yeah. I looked at their schedule this coming year. No Washington State. No Colorado. No California. All gave up 39 a game or more.

  3. I don’t trust QBs without big dicks. Did you see him at the combine? Couldn’t even see his pine needle dick in those compression shorts. They’re compression shorts for god’s sake.

Jameis on the other hand.. WOW.

    Also Teddy Bridgewater.

And my friend was a walk on at Maryland and said that Vernon Davis’ dick was ENORMOUS. And he would just walk around the locker room naked because he knew this fact. Give THAT man a contract.

    1. Like if we’re being honest, he said 9″ SOFT. I mean black dicks don’t really grow as much as whites’ when we gets boners. But still its gotta get at least an extra inch or two when all that blood pumps through it. So we’re talking a near-foot-long dick. I mean come on.

  4. How do you know the fairy isn’t some crazy glue sniffer!? “Build a model airplane!”, says the fairy. Well we’re not buying it. Next thing you know there’s money missing off the dresser and your daughters knocked up…I’ve seen it a thousand times…

  5. Jimmy Kempski is a horrid writer and an Eagles apologist and a con artist. This dude was in the Mike Vick fan club while Vick was here and he doesn’t have an objective bone in his body.

    1. Couldn’t agree more. His writing is horrendous. His articles on Philly.com consisted of lists of college football players to watch that weekend that the Eagles might want to draft. He was doing this in August. He’s just the worst

  6. Ahhhhhhhhhh, yes. Might as well enjoy the bandwagon while it’s here.

BTW this would be a fucking horrible idea.

  7. I can already see it:

    Mariota sucks, 6-10 next season.
Chip realizes Mariota can’t play against men, so he bounces for Florida.
Chip Kelly coaches the 2017 NCAA National Champion Florida Gators while the Eagles finally have a first round pick in 2018.

Cowboys win the 2016 Super Bowl since they are gifted home-field advantage after dominating the NFC East.

    1. it’s one thing if Mariota is reachable without trading a ton.

it’s another thing if we put all of our marbles in a guy who looked AWFUL in the most important game in his life.

    2. If only because it will drive Cataldi to suicide and may finally shut Missanelli and Sal Pal up, I pray to God this is what happens.

  8. This whole Mariota talk during the offseason is totally driven by the media, and there are enough suckers out there to believe there is a grain of truth to it.

First off, which team is going to move from #2 or #3 overall to #20?? Now if the Eagles were sitting at #8 or #10, then maybe you throw alot of future 1st and 2nd round picks to move up. The only way we have a chance at Mariota is if his stock starts to drop (like Manziel), and he starts slipping in the draft. If he is sitting there are the #10 overall pick, then we have a chance to move up and take him, but I still think that someone will grab him in the top 5. Again, its not whether we want him, its whether any team is going to pass on him and trade their pick to move down to #20?

Finally, if Chip does want to move up to take Mariota, then he is an idiot for trying to win the last game of the season against the Giants. He could have played Matt Barkley and many backups and if they lost that game they would be drafting #16 instead of #20.

I think the media relies on Eagles talk 365 days a year, and they are reaching for stuff to talk about, so the Mariota to the Eagles trade talks gets milked everyday.

    1. Let’s not mention that the Rams had a big price while banking on the Redskins to suck ass. No team is interested in this trade unless they think the Eagles go 6-10 at best over the next couple of years.

  9. So they need 2 corners, a safety, a pass rushing OLB, possibly a ILB(depending on Ryans), a receiver maybe 2 if they can’t get Maclin resigned and don’t franchise him and they just created another need on the offensive line yesterday. So let’s package 4-5 draft picks as well as a possible player, Foles, McCoy, Cox are the ones you keep hearing, for a QB that looked like trash in his biggest game. Gold Standard baby.

    1. exactly….you can debate all you want whether or not Mariota will be any good in the nfl, but to believe that Chip should trade a shit ton of picks or players or both , you would have to be a fool to think that anyone involved with the team would even consider this. how many holes does this team have? only dumbass “iggles” fans and media hacks want this to happen.

part of me almost wants this to happen so Mariota can come here and flop while the eagles become the new raiders, Foles will get signed by another team and Chip can head back to college where both win championships the same year

  10. When will the delusion end?

It took the Redskins 3 first round picks + more to get from 6 to 2 to get RG3

For the Eagles to jump from 20 to 1, what would they have to give up? Foles, 4 first round picks, 2 second round picks, 2 third round picks?

It’s impossible. Unless Mariota slides, it’s IMPOSSIBLE

  11. the Eagles should trade as many picks as it
Takes to get him. First round picks are not valuable to them. Look at last year. There first round pick couldn’t even get on the field.

  12. the Falcons traded from 27 to 6 and gave up 2 firsts and 2 fourth rounders to get Julio jones a couple of years ago. So don’t say it is impossible for the Eagles to trade up that high

    1. Bob,

True, but the Falcons didn’t trade up to get a QB. The idea that the Eagles could jump from 20 to 1 when the Bucs need a franchise QB as well, it’s going to cost them a lot more.

  13. Please Chip do it. Trade all the picks you have to and Foles while your at it. That way I can be done with this team for the foreseeable future. Put me out of my misery.

Oh and Tom Lawyer is nothing but Dave Sadaro Jr Eagles apologist.
