Philadelphia’s own Markieff and Marcus Morris are the only twins to ever start for the same team in the NBA. They also may have beat up a dude for having sex with their mom, allegedly. According to Yahoo Sports, the police in Phoenix have their eyes on the Morris twins for felony aggravated assault, after fellow Philadelphian Erik Hood accused them and three others of beating him until he was unconscious. The beef apparently stemmed from an “inappropriate” text Hood sent to the Morris’ mother, which was reportedly taken as evidence of a relationship.
The Morris twins deny any involvement. According to witnesses, five subjects fled the area of the alleged assault in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, “but none of them were able to identify any of the subjects.” So maybe they didn’t do it, because two famous, 6-foot-9, identical twins fleeing in a Rolls-Royce has to be the most identifiable group of suspects ever.
