West Philly’s Dr. Dog has been one of the best things the Philly music scene has to offer for years now. And for their latest accomplishment, they’ve taken two of the greatest things in Philadelphia history — some Gamble and Huff produced Sound of Philadelphia vibes and the Phillie Phanatic — and crammed them into one catchy as hell tune, “The Phanatic Song.” The tune debuted on XPN yesterday and, according to The Key, it will “appear on a DVD called The Phillie Phanatic’s One-Man Band, that will be given out for free to kids 14 and under on September 13th at Citizens Bank Park when the Phils play the Chicago Cubs.” This is best part of the Phillies season so far.
