paps

In last night’s MLB All-Star Game, Jonathan Papelbon wasn’t able to get into the game to throw any pitches. It’s likely Paps didn’t care, and maybe part of it was that the Phillies are the worst team in baseball, so why should their All-Star pitcher get in? It makes sense, but Papelbon still becomes the first Phillie All-Star to not see the diamond since Curt Schilling in 1998. And for what? So Aroldis Chapman can strike out with side on 14 pitches, 12 of which were over 100 MPH? Big deal.
