According to The Big Lead, expert antagonizer and bag of hot air Colin Cowherd is leaving ESPN. The Big Lead reports that, unlike their parting of ways with Keith Olbermann and Bill Simmons, “ESPN did make an aggressive bid to keep Cowherd, but was upstaged by Fox.” In a press release, ESPN said:

“We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial run with Colin for over a decade. He came to national prominence on ESPN with his unique perspective on sports and society. Endings also bring new beginnings, for ESPN and Colin, and we thank him and wish him the best.”

ESPN, whether purposely or not, is moving away from complainy older white guys. What they do next will show the direction they’re trying to go in, but now if you wanna hear a total jerk complain about John Wall every month for a couple of years, you’ll have to switch to Fox.
