Wow. Bold strategy here from the guy who coaches(ed) the Rays – Lewis and Rice – and Terrell Suggs, whose character is that of an adulterous felon. This nugget from the Baltimore Sun sums it up nicely:

Terrell Suggs’ wife of two years has filed for divorce, accusing the Ravens outside linebacker of adultery — an accusation he denies.

In 2009, before they were married, she filed a request for a protective order claiming he had hit her and spilled bleach on her and their then-1-year-old son. She later requested that the order be rescinded after the couple reconciled.

In late 2012, Candace Suggs accused him of punching her in the neck and dragging her behind his car as he drove away with their two children. At that time, Terrell Suggs was ordered to turn over seven guns, including an AK-47, because of the temporary protective order granted by the Baltimore County Circuit Court.

HOW DARE THE EAGLES CALL HIS CHARACTER INTO QUESTION!

UPDATE: Here’s a more full quote from Harbaugh from the Baltimore Bail Bondsmen website:

“As I read most of the Eagles’ quotes, I thought they understood the play. One or two of them didn’t understand the play,” Harbaugh said.

“When you start popping off about somebody’s character, you’ve crossed the line. That’s not really something that we respect. But most of those guys understood the play and understood that [No.] 55 was playing hard and trying to get it stopped.”

“[The rule is] very clear,” Harbaugh said. “Three years ago, my brother [former 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh] brought it up and tried to get the quarterback deemed a passer in that situation. He’s not a passer; he’s a runner, and everybody knows that. [Suggs] played it exactly as we were coaching them to play it at that time.”
