The NFL season kicks off TONIGHT. Oh man, we’re so ready it almost hurts. But as with most Thursday Night Football games, tonight’s game is the outlier. The real deal doesn’t kick in until 1PM on Sunday – or really whenever you turn the pre-game on. And sure, you’ve drafted your fantasy team, but you’ve got WEEKS and WEEKS until you get any gratification from whatever collective of scrubs you’ve assembled. With Crossing Broad’s Week One Fantasy Challenge Version 2 (the first game filled up) you can drop a Starbucks-drink amount of money down to win up to six times that, plus a free shirt and sitewide bragging rights.
Here’s how it works:
- Week 1 games starting after 1 p.m. on Sunday (no Steelers-Patriots on Thursday night)
- Standard Draft Kings lineup: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 defense-special teams
Our games have 50 spots (25 are still available in the second group as of now) and the top 18 finishers walk away with money. PLUS, if you beat our esteemed editor, (username bdncb1) you also win a free t-shirt from the Crossing Broad store via a $25 promo code courtesy of Draft Kings. So you can win some actual cash, bragging rights over Kyle, and basically any shirt on the CB store you want for free.
If you’re more of a big money guy, there’s also a $20 game you can enter with a chance to walk away with $2 million. Personally, I think that’s worth about the same as our max winnings, but you might disagree.

Guess many people have not signed up for this. Pushing it a little too much if you ask me…
We’ve filled three full 50 person leagues.
Says you! Ok, I’ll sign up. Got free entry into the 20$ pool, plus $3 into another pool, plus matching up to $600, plus Ill win a shirt this week. Cant beat it!
Where is the editor’s submission in the second DraftKings pool?
Cannot understand why the casino industry have screamed murder. D.K. and F.D are gambling sites. Its a zero sum game. A $2 million prize so there has to be a pool of $3.0 million or 150,000 suckers losing their bets. The other $1.0 million goes to the owners (E.S.P.N.?), promoters and the advertising outlets such as W.I.P. that run ads 24/7.
Correction to appease the Wordsmith Police
