Grain of salt alert: Rumors have been circulating around the internet that the theatrical trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut during this week’s Monday Night Football broadcast. It makes sense, Disney is the overlord of all of it.

But according to one random person on Reddit, MNF could be even more than just a platform for the trailer. Posting under the name DatESPNGuy – very official – he says the entire broadcast is going to be Star Wars themed:

This Monday Disney is releasing the full trailer for The Force Awakens after the first quarter of your game. The whole night from graphics and scoreboard are Star Wars themed. The intro to the game gets an opening crawl detailing your hated rivalry.

Seriously it’s the coolest thing Monday Night Football has ever done.

Oh and one more thing.

The trailer will play on the screen at Lincoln Financial so that those in attendance don’t miss out!

The intro being Star Wars-themed, and giving a crawl to the rivalry’s back-story, seems the most likely (and coolest) part of this whole thing. But as for why they would keep this under wraps? No idea. I’m on board though.

If this turns out to be true – and even if it doesn’t – there is no better way to celebrate it than with that shirt way up at the top, available now in the CB Store. [Editor’s note: FUCKING SYNERGY I LOVE IT.]
