BURN.

The Sixers are getting set to play the Celtics in pre-season action in New Hampshire tonight. Why? Who knows. But presidential candidate [editor’s note: haha!] John Kasich is also in New Hampshire, and he was apparently staying at the same hotel as the Sixers. He used this info in a speech. After saying there was a basketball team in his hotel, which he knew because they were “really tall, okay,” Kasich said:

“The reason why some of them make a lot of money is because they have skills. Not too many Sixers have had that many skills lately, but they do.”

The Sixers’ Twitter account, one of the better accounts in the NBA, did not take kindly to that. Noting in a (now-deleted) Tweet that Kasich is currently polling at 2.3%, well below the Sixers’ winning percentage, which, last year, was around 22%– and those are Ben Carson numbers.

Atlantic Division feud tracker:

  • Knicks/Nets
  • Raptors/anyone who hates Drake
  • Wizards/Colin Cowherd
  • Sixers/A bank and a guy who will never be President

The Sixers might actually win that one.

UPDATE (Kyle): Kasich fires back:

THAT IS NOT THREE POINTS! IN WHAT CYO GYM DID THEY TAKE THIS VIDEO? I’ve seen Disney Channel basketball movies with more regulation-sized courts than that.

Of course, three points… would be more than Kasich has in the polls.
