When you’re 7-0, ranked in the top 25 for the first time in many years, and the potential host of College GameDay, there’s no better time to pitch your own stadium. At least, that’s how Temple sees it.

According to Philly.com, the Owls have already received “some seven-figure commitments” for funding the planned $100 million stadium that would sit on northwest corner of campus. The planned area is currently the site of Geasey Field, the home turf for the school’s field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams.

The plan is for the stadium to host the Owls’ football team, as well as high school sports, concerts, and more. The stadium plans have been in the works for a while, obviously, but it looks a lot more appealing when your football team is rolling. The issue is expected to be discussed at a trustees meeting in December.
