UPDATE: There Is Virtually No One at the Phillies Game Today
As you can see above in the picture provided by Ryan Lawrence, today’s modified Phillies game is … sparsely? minimally? pathetically? Pathetically attended.
The game has a noon start time thanks to a potential rainout tonight and the MLB running out of days to use for makeup games. It’s legit chilly out. It’s kinda rainy. The Phillies have lost nearly 100 games. It’s a Thursday. Those are four strikes right there. Yet, some people actually showed up. Not many, but some.
Like this guy:
And this handful of fans:
And … that super casual guy right there:
And … uh … this big group of (Mets) fans:
I really don’t know what’s worse: That there are about 300 people down there, or that it doesn’t even seem that weird.
UPDATE:
13,238 is the announced paid crowd today. That's not people in park. That's also lowest crowd in CBP history

A few security people I bumped into on a walk around the park in the 5th threw the number of "just over 1,200" as the actual turnstile count
