The Sounds of Discontent: The Fourth Estate
This is delighftul.
Eagles players reacted to Jeff McLane’s report about a player speaking on the condition of anonymity questioning DeMarco Murray’s effort against the Dolphins. Matt Lombardo of NJ.com has the written version of their words:
“Somebody said that?” Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson said following Monday’s practice. “Hell no. Every time DeMarco’s on the field, he seems like he’s going hard to me. I don’t know who said that, but they’re wrong.”
“Whenever we lose there’s always going to be finger-pointing and someone trying to break up the team. That’s just part of it. So, the only thing we can do is try to make the most out of what we have, as [crappy] as it is. We just have to go out there Thursday and try to get a win. That would be really good for us.”
…
“No man,” Eagles outside linebacker Brandon Graham told NJ Advance Media Monday when asked about the Inquirer report. “Whoever gave you that information is some bull [crap]. I don’t sense that.”
“We’re out there. Everybody has a job to do. Nobody wants to put out bad film. Nobody’s going to quit. That would be stupid if you’re out there quitting. You’re not just auditioning for us, you’re auditioning for every team out there because all of us are just renting the space right here.”
So, there you have it– somebody on the Eagles is some bullshit. Of course, I would argue that many of them are of the poop variety.
