Chip Kelly recently went on record to say that he didn’t trade for Sam Bradford just to have him for one year. That sent shockwaves of truly mixed emotions throughout the fan base. Is his the best QB? No. Is he the best QB available? Maybe. And he’s been playing … well? … as of late. So all that remains now is how Bradford feels about staying in Philly. The answer? Meh.

Braford told the media (via PhillyVoice) that he’s just worried about football stuff, you know?

“Obviously, it’s great to hear those things, but I don’t think it really means a whole lot, and it’s not going to change the way I approach things. I’m sure I’ll pay more attention to that stuff in the offseason … [The offseason is] a couple months away. I’m really just worried about these next three weeks, obviously this week against Arizona … I do like it here. Obviously it’s a lot different than anywhere I’ve ever been before. But you know what? I really do enjoy it here.”

Though it seems he’s been in the league forever (time mostly spent on sidelines), Bradford’s actually in the final year of his rookie contract. The birds could franchise tag him for next year and pay him $20 million – which … oof – though reports of a possible extension offered before the season looked pretty pricey too.

Chip likes Sam. Sam likes Chip. Sam likes us. We … uh … we’re not sure.
