Bengals and Steelers Fans Go Arrest-for-Arrest
Saturday’s Bengals/Steelers game was one of the messiest you’ll ever see. It was pouring rain the whole game, fans cheered Ben Roethlisberger’s injury and threw trash on the field, Vontaze Burfict tried to murder Antonio Brown, more trash was thrown on the field, and the Steelers won on a last-minute field goal. It was insane.
That’s only the stuff that we saw on camera though. In the stands, Steelers and Bengals fans went toe-to-toe to see who could get arrested the most. Each fan base had three men get cuffed, but let’s see Who Did It Worst?
[crime descriptions from Cincinnati.com and WCPO]
Steelers Fans:
- Andrew Robles, 28, of Allentown, Pennsylvania: Was “being ejected from the game for an unknown reason when, police said, he escaped officers and punched a woman in the face.”
- Tyler Matthys, 21, from Westville, Indiana: “Accused of striking a woman in the face at Paul Brown Stadium”
- David Grillo, 25, from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania: Reportedly threw a beer can at a Bengals, fan causing “facial lacerations”
Bengals Fans:
- Jared McCarty, 19: Charged with carrying a fake ID, underage consumption of alcohol, and theft. Additionally, “police records said the 19-year-old ‘admitted to consuming alcohol and striking the victim (a woman) in the face.'”
- Martin Cooke, 33, of Germantown, Kentucky. This dude gets his own blockquote:
Germantown, Kentucky, was arrested after police said he urinated on the person in front of him in Paul Brown Stadium. Cooke, who wore a Bengals hoodie, is accused of fighting with the man and punching him in the face, court documents state. He is facing disorderly conduct and assault charges.
- Phillip Ross, 29, of Cheviot, Ohio: Head-butted a man in the face.
Verdict: Eagles fans?
