The January local radio Nielsen ratings have dropped for the ratings period running December 31 to January 28 (does not include Wing Bowl), and Mike Missanelli has continued to grow his lead in the HOTLY CONTESTED afternoon time slot. Among men 25-54, Missanelli earned a 8.9 over-the-air and a 0.3 on the stream, for a total of 9.2. Meanwhile, Josh Innes and sidekicks earned a 7.6 over-the-air and a 0.5 on the stream, for a total of 8.1.

Missanelli’s lead has grown over the past few months. His OTA lead has gone from 0.3 to 0.6 to now 1.3. His combined lead has gone from 0.6 to 1.9 back down to 1.1.

Meanwhile, the other major daily time slots are as follows:

Angelo’s Cataldi’s morning show earned a 9.6 over-the-air and a 0.3 on the stream, for a total of 9.9, while Anthony Gargano and special friends earned a 8.7 over-the-air and a 0.3 on the stream, for a total of 9.0. Cataldi is still king here, but Gargano is steadily gaining steam.

In mid-days, Mike and Ike continued to beat Harry and Rob, earning a 6.6 over-the-air and a 0.6 on the stream, for a total of 7.2. Harry and Rob earned a 5.6 over-the-air and a 0.7 on the stream, for a total of 6.3.

In the evenings, in the 6 p.m. hour, where Joe DeCamara and Brian Haddad go head-to-head, DeCamara won 9.0 to 7.5 over-the-air. Streaming numbers are negligible.

It’s worth noting that 97.5’s streaming numbers have come back down to Earth. Specifically, Missanelli, who was aided by a substantially better streaming estimate in the past few months, actually lost to Innes 0.5 to 0.3 on the stream last month, but still won handily overall.

Overall, Monday to Friday, from 6 a.m. to midnight, 97.5 and WIP tied with a 7.7 over-the-air. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., WIP edged 97.5 by a 0.1 share over-the-air and both stations earned a 0.4 on the stream.

Side note: I would love to know who this is, because he or she had the ratings 28 minutes after they were released and before I even got them:
