Report: Eagles Willing to Listen on DeMarco Murray Trades

All of the focus on the Eagles’ offseason moves (or non-moves) so far has been squared on Sam Bradford. Will he be here? Should he be here? How much will he get paid? But DeMarco Murray is here, and he still doesn’t want to be.

According to Ian Rappppopopopopopoprt, the Eagles are being open with teams, letting them know that while a trade may be difficult to work out, Murray isn’t happy.

By trading Murray, the Eagles would actually save money on the cap (which seems to be the whole theme of the offseason), but everyone knows Murray doesn’t want to be here, and the Eagles would probably be fine not replacing him with a big-name back. That does irreparable damage to his value.

    1. Lol w/the “quasi” he does pull that out a lot….. Now, oh…. My…… God… Hollis is one studdering bastard. Htf did he get the job he’s unlistenable. I can see the appeal of that belly laugh-thats it

    2. Over
      Push
      Over.
I have him doing 37 phlegmmy throat clears
And at least 11 fake laughs.

  2. Love how NFL reporters can report things based on no real evidence and get credit for doing their job. This is the same story over and over and it’s not even a story. It’s been speculation all along

  3. Nobody is taking the bullshit contract that the Eagles gave him…
“Save money under the cap”==read: Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

      1. They can “cut” him for “nothing” (though the value of his signing bonus last year was more than most MLB, NBA, or NHL players will make in their careers) in the NFL, but they still have to take a salary cap hit at 13 million dollars. That’s like 10% of their entire salary cap on one cut player.

They could also trade him and “only” take a cap hit of 4 million on one player who isn’t even with the team. But that would require another team accepting his contract. Even though the Eagles have already paid the worst of it, no team not run by Chip Kelly wants to throw that kind of money at the running back position.

  4. Pretty tired of this national media narrative. I expect Michael Irvin’s take yo be “YO HOOK A BROTHA UP HE WANTS TO GO BACK TO BIG D” but what part of 13 million in dead money do the Ian Rapports of the world not understand?

  5. I miss the days when you could write anything you wanted on here. But hey I guess racist and curse filled comments are more important. What are the actual words you can’t write?

    1. Apparently, you can’t criticize the CB writers for beating an unfunny trope to death by repeating the last few letters of a sports reporter’s name. I mean, nobody finds it funny but it gets picked every time. But you can spew all kinds of nonsense about someone being a “juuuuu” or a “knee grow”, and they get through.

  6. Getting your comment through is like scaling the beaches at Normandy. One false word will get you banned. It takes ingenuity to get through.
