The Eagles just announced on Twitter that they have released DeMeco Ryans.

Ryans was in the last year of his deal and owed $4.5 million. The Eagles will save $3.5 million against the cap (Howiiiiiie) with the move.

Tough to see him go, but Ryans missed 10 games over the last two seasons due to injury, including his second Achilles tear, last season. His contract was restructured last year to be a two-year deal… but, this being the NFL, it turned out to be a one-year deal.

Side note: Why not just retweet the Eagles?

All the beats (rightfully) love Ryans, so expect a whole bunch of positive stories to follow.
