New Eagles cornerback Leodis McKelvin, whose name is going to have its way with me all season, explained at his press conference today how he made his interception against the Eagles when he was a member of the Bills:

DERRRRRRRRRRP. Am I running out of ammo in my Chip gun? Is this thing jammed? AH COME ON CHIP GUN, WHY WON’T YOU FIRE ANYMORE?

I looked up the play. He’s mostly right. A quick check shows that the Eagles did throw to the left several times on that drive, running the same play – with the throw to the tight end – at least one other time. But a few of the plays before it all seemed to have different routes as best as I could tell. Still, hard to defend Chip on this. Don’t make me believe in Doug Pederson, LEodivinci. Don’t make me do it!
