Big week for Breakfast On Broad. First the bra-throwing grandma tells her Bernie Parent handie story, and now NFL prospect and local kid Eli Apple – a highly photogenic contact in iPhone demo loops – tells the BOB crew, which included Mike Missanelli filling in for Rob Ellis, that one of the Falcons coaches ask him if he liked men:

Jillian Mele: “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been asked or heard of someone being asked at the combine?”

Eli Apple: “I’ve been asked a lot of weird questions, I don’t know if I can say them on TV. I think the Falcons question, one of the Falcons coaches, was ‘So do you like men?’ and it was the first thing he asked me. And it was weird and I was like ‘no.’ And he was like ‘Well if you come to Atlanta you just gotta know that’s how it is out here’ or whatever, ‘you gotta get used to it.’ I guess he was joking but, they just ask most of these questions to see how you’re gonna react.”

Every year much is made of the weird and invasive questions prospects are asked, but there’s always one pumped up coach who may goes a step too far.

UPDATE: The Falcons have apologized because, well, it’s illegal.
