This Sixers Fan Had Allen Iverson Recreate His Tyronn Lue Moment in a Luxury Box

I’m not sure what sort of balls it takes to ask one of the greatest living basketball players to step over you while you lay on the ground of a Wells Fargo Center luxury box to recreate one of the most iconic Philly sports moments of all-time… but, I’ll have what that guy’s having. It seems Allen – who was honored at the Sixers game Friday night for his Hall of Fame induction – has reached the dance for me, clown stage of his career. I’m not hating, but there’s no way AI does this sort of thing 10 years ago, or even five years ago. Not sure how to feel about this.

Side note: I genuinely love how AI wears his own sneakers. And like, if you asked him about it, his response would be totally practical and make you feel silly for even asking: Man, how many guys have their own shoe? 10? Maybe 20? Why WOULDN’T I wear my own shoe everywhere I go? People see me around and be like, “man, that AI, he really walks the talk.” Now what kind of spokesperson would I be if I wore loafers everywhere? Then what do people say? “There goes Allen Iverson in $10k Italian penny loafers. He thinks he’s better than us.” Naw, man. That ain’t me.
